Position Qualifications
This position requires the following minimum position qualifications:
- A PhD in Art History or Terminal degree or equivalent combination of education, expertise and experience.
- Reasonable experience (3-5 years) experience directly in the curatorial, museum and/or art collections field.
- Demonstrates working proficiency in talent and performance management, supervising and applying HR/dept. policies and standards to direct reports (professional staff and student employees).
- Demonstrates an extensive proficiency in/with:
- Instruction at the post-secondary level.
- Program development and administration including promotion, outreach and implementation of specific goals and objectives.
- Knowledge and ability to manage educational/instructional programs, including research projects, extra-curricular activities, and/or academic planning.
- Building healthy working relationships and partnerships with colleagues within and external to own unit. Uses effective communication concepts, tools and techniques tailored to the appropriate audience.
- Written communication as evidenced by a record of publications, presentations, exhibitions, and/or grants.
The following are desired position qualifications:
- Demonstrates an extensive proficiency talent and performance management, supervising and applying HR/dept. policies and standards to direct.
- Familiarity with contemporary practices in K-12 museum education preferred.

Compensation: The successful incumbent may be hired at a salary within the budget parameters of $66,000-$70,000 which is within the pay level 5A range. |
