Customer Service Representative
The University of Iowa Parking & Transportation Department is seeking a Customer Service Representative. This professional will serve as a customer service representative in a fast-paced environment interacting with a variety of individuals in a constructive and collaborative manner to provide world-class customer service. This position will review existing system processes while using them efficiently and accurately and make recommendations for improvement in addition to creating and updating standards and practices as they relate to all services provided by the Parking Services Office. This position will assist with functionally supervising student employees including providing training, performance monitoring, scheduling, shift coverage, and coaching, among other tasks as needed. This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.
Duties to Include:
Provide excellent customer service to every customer over the counter and on the phone.
Ensure data entry in AIMS is accurate and timely as it relates to permit types and sales/distribution dates.
Assist in the ongoing enhancements of our Customer Service Representative training program for both staff and students to develop best practice standards for all functions within AIMS and to ensure excellent customer service is provided to every person, every time.
Assist in the hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling student staff to ensure best practice is followed in all transactions and that excellent customer service is provided to all Parking Services Customers.
Assist in the coordination / preparation of strategic plans that support the mission of the Parking & Transportation Department and the University of Iowa.

Location: West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience (typically 6 months) in administrative or customer service support role.
Proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
Demonstrated customer service and cash handling experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Demonstrated experience multitasking in fast paced environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in a higher education environment.
Functional supervisory experience.
Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
