Education Requirement

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience and a working knowledge of, and ability to apply, policies and practices for planning and administering a budget, grant administration, and/or Center for Advancement funds.   
  • Demonstrates experience and an expert level of ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in support of individuals, teams, and/or units, including proficiency with computer software applications. 
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of and application of the effective communication techniques and relationship building skills required to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. 
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of and ability to contribute to the development and implementation of short term and long-term planning in support of the overall business plan. 
  • Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to use and effectively administrate the organization's HR policies, strategies, and environment, including when supervising others. 
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures, including financial and human resources policies; and experience with university electronic systems including HRIS, MAUI and Workflow processes. 
  • Experience working in an academic department.
