Education

  • Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or certification by the NCCPA

Required Qualification

  • Demonstrated clinical experience in Neurosurgery is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence while actively collaborating with health care members providing care for highly complex patients

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience exercising autonomy in medical decision-making and services provided is highly desirable.
  • Experience providing overall medical care and medical management, guidance, education, and support for patients both in the outpatient and inpatient clinical setting is desirable.
  • Procedures and diagnosis experience in neurological disorders is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures is desirable.
