Departmental Graduate Coordinator - School of Social Work
The School of Social Work at the University of Iowa invites applications for a Graduate Coordinator (Acad Clin Prog Mgt Associate /Paygrade 3A). This position will provide primary support to the department’s Director, Associate Director, Administrator, Directors of Graduate Studies, Director of Undergraduate Studies for all social work programs and will lead enrollment management, academic planning, and curricular management processes for all certificates and degree programs in the department. This position will also serve as backup to the departmental office reception area along with possible supervision of student staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect enrollment data from multiple sources to maintain spreadsheets used to determine number of courses sections and faculty needs.
- Assist to enter course updates in MAUI related to prereqs, coreqs, requirements, course recommendations, restrictions and special permissions.
- Participate in the management of course enrollments.
- Monitor graduate student progress, schedule exams, and verify degree requirements as needed.
- Compiling assessment data required for accreditation annual reports.

Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 1 year related administrative and program experience
- Experience working in a university department or program to support students.
- Detailed oriented. Be able to meet timelines and be able to multiple tasks.
- Must be proficient in computer software applications including Excel and Teams.
Desirable Qualifications
- Two+ years related University program experience
- Experience working in a “team based” environment.
- Some knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations
- Experience working with undergraduate & graduate students
