Qualifications:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Student Development, Social work, Psychology or related field.
  • Working experience (typically 5-7 years) with college students from underrepresented populations.
  • Reasonable (typically 5-7 years) experience including: staff supervision, financial management and program assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative climate that recognizes and promotes diversity and individual growth in multicultural competency.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with faculty, staff, and campus partners and stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Working proficiency in contributing to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of a program or initiative.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Student Development, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work effectively with college populations regarding academic, social, behavioral and professional issues in order to promote their growth and development.
  • Experience coordinating university student success programs in areas of retention, academics, leadership, or career readiness.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to university policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of social justice and intersectionality in education.
