Education Requirement
A master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience Required
7 years of combined Purchasing, Contract Management and Accounts Payable experience.
7 years management experience required to lead department, including management of staff performance and development, team building and communications, resolution of issues and conflicts, review and approval of work, and hiring and training employees.
Demonstrates expert written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of purchasing in the public sector including Federal purchasing requirements for contracts (FAR) and grants (OMB Circular A110) and applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
Has proven experience being an advocate for change and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and to ensure a high level of accuracy in work produced.
Commitment to quality of work, operational excellence, and customer experience.
Highly developed problem solving and analytical ability.
Demonstrated experience promoting a diverse workforce, with the ability to work with staff at all levels of an organization, demonstrated ability to collaborate with customers with excellent relationship skills.
Desirable Qualifications
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Professional certification
Knowledge of University policies and procedures is desirable.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle Purchasing, Contracts and Inventory is desirable.
