Director of Reimbursement - Finance & Accounting Services
Required Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. CPA, MHA or MBA is preferred
- 5-7 years of relevant healthcare accounting experience in hospital reimbursement. Preference given to a background in an academic setting. Knowledge of physician reimbursement is a plus
- 5-7 years managerial experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of complex financial and statistical analysis and presentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications. Preference given to experience with Epic patient accounting system and Health Financial Systems (HFS) cost report software
- Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment
- 3+ years reimbursement in an academic medical center setting including experience with Disproportionate Share (DSH), Graduate Medical Education, and Organ Transplants
- Experience with Medicaid Hospital-Specific Limit (HSL) and Upper Payment Limit (UPL) calculations and payment methodologies
