Director of Wrestling Operations
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- One year of related administrative experience in Athletics, organizing and managing complex functions.
- Working knowledge and ability to:
- Utilize basic office productivity software and online database systems (please specify).
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills interacting with vendors, travel agencies, event managers, and customers/donors/fans.
- Work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
- Work effectively in a highly regulated team environment.
- Valid U.S. driving license and the ability to meet and maintain the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards.
- One year of experience in athletics operations or event management experience at the NCAA Division I level is highly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the sport of wrestling, as demonstrated by competing or coaching in a formal, competitive environment or wrestling operations experience is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge and ability to:
- Utilize video and analytical technology specific to the sport of wrestling (please specify programs used).
- Utilize web and mobile team communication application such as Teamworks (please specify).
- Organize and execute camps and clinics.
- Maintain productive relationships with staff, students, prospects’ coaches, and/or patrons.
