Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • One year of related administrative experience in Athletics, organizing and managing complex functions.
  • Working knowledge and ability to:
    • Utilize basic office productivity software and online database systems (please specify).
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills interacting with vendors, travel agencies, event managers, and customers/donors/fans.
    • Work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
    • Work effectively in a highly regulated team environment.
  • Valid U.S. driving license and the ability to meet and maintain the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards.
 
Desired Qualifications:
  • One year of experience in athletics operations or event management experience at the NCAA Division I level is highly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the sport of wrestling, as demonstrated by competing or coaching in a formal, competitive environment or wrestling operations experience is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge and ability to:
    • Utilize video and analytical technology specific to the sport of wrestling (please specify programs used).
    • Utilize web and mobile team communication application such as Teamworks (please specify).
    • Organize and execute camps and clinics.
    • Maintain productive relationships with staff, students, prospects’ coaches, and/or patrons.
