Qualifications:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, clinical psychology, behavioral psychology, industrial organizational psychology, or related field.
  • Comprehensive post-degree experience (typically 7 years or more) that includes progressive administrative responsibility (supervision, training, evaluation, program assessment, and financial management) in a mental health role or mental health environment.
  • Experience (typically 5 years or more) effectively supervising mental health professionals.
  • Appropriate independent licensure in the state of Iowa, or ability to apply for independent licensure in Iowa immediately.
  • Demonstrated active commitment to promoting a diverse environment that prioritizes inclusion and equity.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to manage behavioral health departmental operations, including monitoring the development, interpretation, and application of behavioral health services and programs, as well as operational policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office suite, Zoom, and other relevant technology resources.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in data-driven decision-making and preparing data reports.
  • Expert knowledge of and experience in training and development processes, tools, and techniques to develop clinical skills of students and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly and effectively to challenges.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal communication skills, and relationship-building skills.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in a college or university mental health environment.
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge related to Iowa laws relevant to mental health.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in and supporting staff in professional organizations relevant to their discipline and the realm of mental health broadly.
  • Established record of professional productivity beyond clinical service appropriate for adjunct faculty appointment, or desire to establish such a record.
