Education and Outreach Coordinator (50%)
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in education, special education, or communication sciences and disorders or the combination of equivalent work experience and education.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a certified classroom teacher
- Experience assessing and teaching students with characteristics of dyslexia.
- Experience developing literacy lessons aligned to systematic, explicit instruction.
- Strong public speaking ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A Driver’s License and ability to maintain and meet the University of Iowa driving standards.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience as an instructor in a teacher preparation program, working with school improvement, or literacy instruction and coaching.
- Master’s degree in education, special education, or communication sciences and disorders or relevant field.
