Electrical Design Engineer - Department of Physics & Astronomy
Education Required: Associate degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a laboratory, experimental, or test setting
- Basic proficiency with circuit analysis
- Basic proficiency with test equipment (bench power supplies, oscilloscope, network analyzer, etc.)
- Experience working in small teams and/or projects
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to thrive in an environment with limited direction and broad responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Basic proficiency with schematic capture software
- Basic proficiency with SPICE circuit simulation software
- Experience designing, building, or testing spaceflight or similar high reliability systems
- Experience in the product life cycle of spaceflight or similar high reliability systems
- Experience with qualification testing for spaceflight or similar high reliability systems
- Experience presenting technical content at workshops, reviews, and mission meetings
