Engineering Associate – Offsite/Ambulatory
Education Required
A Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, or other related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Typically, 0-1 years of experience working with biomedical equipment or healthcare technology.
- Basic knowledge of medical equipment function.
- Basic understanding of common clinical terminology as well as that of life sciences such as anatomy and physiology.
- Basic electronic training with knowledge of electronic theory and technology.
- Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity
- Must meet the University of Iowa Fleet Services program rules and regulations, due to the ability to drive University vehicles.
Desirable Qualifications:

Experience maintaining medical equipment in a field service or healthcare environment.
- Experience with Philips PICiX and Intellivue monitoring products.
