CIMBA Italy is a passionate team of study abroad professionals that believes in creating once-in-a-lifetime educational experiences. The CIMBA Italy office is a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere that has worked to bring exemplary international education to students across the nation for more than thirty years.


The Enrollment and Program Coordinator supports the operational processes that help both undergraduate and graduate students successfully enroll in and prepare for CIMBA Italy programs. The position focuses on coordinating student advising support, application processing, communication with study abroad advisors and staff at partner institutions, and the administrative activities required to facilitate student enrollment, credit transfer, and program onboarding. During peak seasons, the position requires travel to other academic institutions to participate in study abroad fairs and meetings with advisors and students.


As a key part of the team that each student interacts with, this position plays a critical role in every student’s experience and supports the CIMBA program’s culture of personalized attention. Applicants should be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. The individual in this role will cooperate on tasks, assist others as needed, communicate openly, and use sound judgment while identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the implementation of process improvements.
 

Additional responsibilities and duties will be assigned as necessary to support the mission of the college, program, and student success. Responsibilities will require seasonal domestic travel and some time outside the standard 8–5 workday.

Job Duties and Tasks


Recruit Students and Promote the University to the Public

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for study abroad advisors and administrative staff at consortium institutions regarding student participation, advising, and enrollment processes in CIMBA programs.
  • Function as CIMBA contact for institutions using regular in-person, phone, and email interaction.
  • Support prospective and admitted students through timely communication, program information, and coordination with advisors and program staff.
  • Maintain records of activities related to institutions and students and manage institutional profiles in Salesforce, the CRM of the Tippie College of Business.
  • Collect and organize enrollment and participation data to support reporting and program planning.
  • Participate in information sessions and presentations at consortium institutions for prospective students and advisors.
  • Assist in coordinating and representing CIMBA at study abroad fairs, pre-departure orientations, information sessions, and other campus recruiting events at consortium institutions.

Application Processing and Evaluation/Credit Evaluation

  • Process undergraduate and graduate student applications in a timely manner.

Student Transition Services:

  • Assist in the development of pre-departure information including pre-departure email series, pre-departure orientation, live question and answer sessions, and pre-departure guides.
  • Implement procedures to gather statistics about prospects, applicants, and alumni.

Systems Support and Development; Data Analysis, Research and Reporting

  • Use Salesforce CRM and related communication systems to track prospective and admitted students and support program communications.
  • Evaluate all processes regularly to find opportunities for automation, improvement, or efficiency, and recommend new processes as a result

This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically, one to three years of related experience in higher education, preferably with international programs, recruiting, or in a client focused, administrative role.
  • Extensive knowledge and ability to communicate (written and oral), including presentations to large and small groups; able to communicate and interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and other constituents.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member under pressure, multi-task, and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility to travel to consortium member institutions within the United States, including night and weekend availability; international travel will also be required periodically.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety driving standards required. 
  • Possession of or ability to obtain documents allowing for international travel.

Desired Qualifications

  • Participation in an international study abroad experience.
  • At least six months of recruiting or student services experience for a study abroad program or within a higher education setting.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM system.
  • Knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations.
