Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental management, science, or engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • Professional experience (typically 3 years – 5 years) with environmental permitting, modeling and management
  • Extensive experience negotiating with regulatory agencies for permit conditions and rule interpretations
  • Experience handling complex environmental compliance challenges to identify potential problems and proactively develop solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • ·      Master’s Degree in environmental management, science, or engineering discipline 
  • Experience with environmental requirements for power plants
  • Experience with Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) requirements
  • Experience handling unique environmental compliance challenges faced by universities
  • Experience overseeing and directing the work of consultants and contractors
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and implementing continuous improvement processes
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to utilize tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data
  • Demonstrated experience creating and delivering training to varied audiences
