Position Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, analytical chemistry, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • At least two years of relevant experience with using, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment and instrumentation utilized in the Environmental Engineering and Science Program, as described above.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations concerning the operation of research laboratories and treatment facilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse teams. 

Desired

  • Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, analytical chemistry, or related field.
  • Experience with gas, liquid, or ion chromatography and/or mass spectrometry.
  • Experience in enforcing safety program guidelines and maintain required safety documentation for a chemical laboratory.
