QUALIFICATIONS YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Education, Experience, and Competencies Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least one year of experience in a project management/event coordination, and/or communications role.
  • Excellent time management techniques, customer service experience, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to write effectively under deadline for a variety of purposes, goals, audiences, and media.
  • Proficient skills in computer software applications, including the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Zoom, and other software applications. Willingness to adapt to and become proficient in changing technologies.
  • Must be a team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse groups.
  • Commitment to and ability to foster diversity, equity and inclusion in the work or academic environment is required.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience planning and/or organizing meetings and group events and serving as a liaison.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Experience with tracking expenses and budget oversight.
  • Knowledge of University procurement and travel policies.
  • Familiarity with Zoom webinars, web content management platforms such as Drupal, social media platforms, and video-editing software. 
  • Experience supporting international efforts in a higher education setting.

This position is eligible for a combination of on-campus and remote work. Work arrangement options will be discussed during the hiring process.
