Education Required


·         Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience Required

·       

·       ·         3-5 years relevant experience in event planning, event management, event marketing, communications, marketing, or public relations.  
·         Experience in planning, organizing, estimating, and executing events—including all logistics.
·         Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
·         Well-organized and detail-orientated.
·         Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at the same time.
·         Must be able to work atypical office hours with evening, weekend, and early morning events and setup requirements on a regular basis.
·         Adept at functioning in a highly computerized environment.  Proficient in computer software applications including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel and various databases.
·         Ability to work independently, cooperatively with a team, and with a diverse population.
·         Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet/maintain standards of the Fleet Safety Program. 

 

Desirable Qualifications

·        
·         Experience developing communication materials for events and campaigns.
·         Experience with collegiate academic and institutional advancement programs.
·         Ability to constructively express ideas, resolve conflict, and treat others with respect.
·         Take initiative and solve problems.
