Facilities Mechanic III
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Must possess a basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, maintenance of steam and mechanical equipment.
- Must have four years of work experience in the skilled trades, including apprenticeship or technical training. At least two years of this experience must be in the same craft.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to meet the UI Fleet Safety Driving Record Review Standards.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Proven customer service experience.
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively in a diverse environment.
- Working experience performing service or maintenance in a large facility (examples: residence hall, apartment complex, hospital, school, etc.)
