Facilities Mechanic III
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
1. Must possess a basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, maintenance of steam and mechanical equipment; and
2. Must have four years of work experience in the listed crafts, including apprenticeship or technical training. At least two years of that experience must be in the same craft.
License Requirements
A valid driver’s license is required, as well as an ability to meet and maintain University of Iowa Fleet safety Driving Standards.

Desirable Qualifications
· Prefer 2 years knowledge of laundry/industrial equipment, computer laundry/industrial system programs, installing, inspecting, maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance on laundry/industrial equipment, knowledge/field experience repair/maintenance of building gas fired/water heater & electric fresh air/exhaust vents.
· Training or field experience working on high pressure steam system and experience in assisting with microprocessor controls on equipment experience with repair and maintenance of HVAC systems.
