Facilities Mechanic III (HVAC) - North Liberty
- Performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the repairing, servicing, and maintaining of buildings and electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment
- Inspects, maintains and makes operating repairs on electrical equipment and wiring, plumbing fixtures and pipe, heating, air conditioning and ventilating equipment
- Repair and maintain plumbing and fixtures (faucets, toilets, showers, sinks, drains and drain lines), plaster traps, grease traps, maintain centrifugal pumps and associated equipment
- Repair and maintain autoclave, sterilizing and related equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all equipment
- Repair and maintain water heaters and water supply
- Additional duties as required
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Must possess a basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, maintenance of steam and mechanical equipment
- Must have four years of work experience in the listed crafts, including apprenticeship or technical training. At least two years of that experience must be in the same craft.
- Prefer previous experience with computers (Excel, Word)
- Prefer previous experience with large sewer rodders and experience soldering large pipes
- Prefer previous experience and ability to troubleshoot pumps
- Prefer previous experience and knowledge of State Plumbing Codes
- Prefer previous experience in Healthcare Facility Operations
