Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • General knowledge of accounting practices
  • Proficient in statistical and financial analysis. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Access.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to gather and analyze data and keep accurate records

Desired Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare finance setting
  • Proactive and driven to take on extra responsibilities, tasks, and projects
  • Demonstrated competency in complex financial analysis and presentation
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting to management/leadership
  • Knowledge of the StrataJazz Budgeting tool
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa People Soft purchasing system
