Education Required

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Required Qualifications

  • At least one year of relevant administrative work experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Office/Office 365), with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adeptly utilize new software.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects involving frequent communication and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with graduate student program admission.
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to quickly changing assignments and processes as organizational needs dictate.
  • Experience working in an academic setting.
