REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 3-5 years accounting experience
  • 1-3 years experience preparing external research funding proposals and managing funded awards (i.e., reporting, invoicing, complying with funding requirements)
  • Proficiency in computer software applications
  • Knowledge of current local, state and federal regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years experience in governmental fund accounting or comparable contract administration
  • Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Experience with UI workflow systems
  • Knowledge or experience with clinical trials

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

  • Supervision is received from the Ophthalmology Finance Manager.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

  • Administrative supervision is exercised over support staff including, but not limited to, the Clinical Trials Research Specialist.
