Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Extensive (typically defined as one or more years) of outreach or marketing experience.

Demonstrated experience developing and writing material for public consumption.

Experience developing and maintaining content for websites and/or social media.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Desirable Qualifications

Master’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with recording and editing videos for digital platforms.

Knowledge of graphic design, publication production, printing requirements and web design/editing.

Working experience or coursework in a STEM-related field.

Possess a valid U.S. driving license and be able to meet the University of Iowa’s Fleet Safety requirements.
