Health Records Analyst
Education Required
• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience Requirements
• 1 year of experience working in Oncology Registry work.
• Certification as Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), AND/OR Certified Tumor Registrar.
• Be eligible to and successfully obtain Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification within three years of hire.
• Education or experience in human anatomy
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, needing minimal guidance.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Highly Desirable Qualifications
• Experience in a CoC (Commission on Cancer) Accredited Cancer Program
• Experience managing complex information requiring attention to detail
Desirable Qualifications
• Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures and regulations.
