Histotechnologist - Dept of Ortho & Rehab
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of histology experience is required.

Experience working in a high-volume histology lab.
-
Processing and sectioning of calcified osteochondral specimens.
-
Processing and sectioning of calcified specimens.
-
Sectioning of metal and ceramics in bone.
-
Experience performing routine staining protocols on ground/polished sections.
-
Use of light microscopy.
-
Use of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word) and electronic record keeping.
Desired Qualifications:
-
Familiarity with human and/or animal anatomy.
-
Ability to recognize and assess common histopathologic features.
-
Experience processing and sectioning paraffin-embedded soft tissues.
-
Experience processing and sectioning paraffin-embedded decalcified osteochondral specimens.
-
Experience with ImageJ or other digital image analysis programs.
-
Master’s degree.
-
HTL Certification.
