Qualifications:

Education Requirement:

  •  Must be a current University of Iowa student in their Junior or Senior year working towards a bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field; or
  •  Be a recent University of Iowa graduate within the past 12 months and hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.

Required Skills and Abilities: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to learn from all experiences and opportunities.
  • Ability to work with individuals in a constructive and respectful manner while appreciating the unique contribution of an inclusive workforce that brings together the talents of people across multiple identities (race, creed, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, pregnancy, military status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or associational preferences).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Availability for potential full-time role in 2025.

Compensation, Location, and Availability:

  • Compensation: $16/hour
  • Location: on campus in Iowa City, Iowa
  • Internship start date: Summer 2024
  • Availability: Summer break (30-40 hours/week), Academic year (10-20 hours/week)
