HR Specialist
Education Requirements |
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements |
- One (1) year of experience in a related human resources capacity.
- Must demonstrate effective communication and public speaking skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient with computer software applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated job-related experience with commitment to diversity in the work or academic environment.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating a high- volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications |
- Demonstrated experience and ability to contribute to operational and strategic planning in support of the organizational business plan.
- Working knowledge of state and federal regulations and laws affecting human resources.
- Human Resources profession certification (i.e., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
- Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures and experience with a HRIS system.
