HR Specialist
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years human resources experience
- Demonstrated experience and ability with providing excellent and timely customer service
- Knowledge of contemporary human resource principles, practices and process and current federal and state laws, statutes, regulations, policies and directives pertaining to Human Resources
- Able to work independently, prioritize multiple stakeholders and tasks, manage details and deliver results in an environment with competing demands
- Demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures, including those covered by the merit system, SEIU, AFSCME, and COGS
- Experience in compensation
