Hydrogeologist
A bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering, water resources, or a closely related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 1 year of experience collecting, analyzing and reporting field data on geological and groundwater resources is required
Proficient in computer software applications and/or
other geologic related databases is required
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated
ability to work with others in a research environment is required
Ability
to travel in surrounding geographic area; and hold a valid driver’s license,
plus the ability to meet the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving
standards (University of Iowa Operations Manual Part V, Chapter 19) is required
Master’s degree in geology, engineering, water resources, or a closely related discipline is highly desirable
Familiarity/experience with groundwater and hydrologic modeling such as Visual MODFLOW, MIKE SHE, and/or Groundwater VISTAS, or equivalent is desirable
