Informatics Specialist - Community Connect Iowa

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications

•        Typically, 3-5 years of experience (within the last 5 years) in a clinical role in a health care environment.
•        Typically, 1-3 years of experience (within the last 5 years) contributing to a clinical information system implementation cycle in areas such as design, workflow analysis, build, training, implementation, and support in an ambulatory or hospital setting.
•        Ability to lead change in a healthcare environment and promote the understanding and effective use of information technology across services.
•        Experience authoring training materials and leading training sessions in a variety of formats.
•        Excellent communication skills at the verbal, written, and presentation level. Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
•        Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote).
•        Experience working independently with a strong focus on customer service.
•        Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa, or equivalent for clinical profession.

Desirable Qualifications: 

•        Clinical practice experience in an academic healthcare system.
•        Master’s level preparation or working towards master’s within clinical specialty or management coursework.
•        Experience using Epic in an ambulatory or hospital setting.
•        Experience translating customer requirements into system design specifications.
•        Ability to assess learning needs and match to the most effective education methods.
•        Professional level certification.
•        Previous experience providing 24x7 on-call support.
