Required Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor’s degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required.
  • 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital and/or early intervention setting with a high degree of understanding and skill working with a pediatric population.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient and family-centered care.
  •  Demonstrated clinical education abilities and leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Licenses/ Certifications:

  • Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.


Desirable Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following patient care specialties in acute care or outpatient setting:  NICU, PICU, and/or experience in early intervention.
  • Specialized training related to infant development and/or certification in neonatal therapy.
  • Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a work or academic setting
