Senior Physical Therapist

The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Healthcare is seeking a Senior Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders, and/or injuries. This position will work with a variety of patients with a wide range of dysfunctions in an inpatient critical care setting at the Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City. You will act as a clinical resource.

Staff Physical Therapist

The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Healthcare is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist to administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders, and/or injuries and or evaluate and interpret findings. This position will work with a variety of patients with a wide range of dysfunctions in an inpatient critical care setting at the Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City.

•    On Campus: This position is performed fully on the campus of the University Medical Center.
•    This position is full-time, 100%.
•    Work schedule: 7:30am-4:30pm | Monday-Friday

Qualifications

Senior Physical Therapist

Required Qualifications:
•    A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy is required.
•    Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
•    2+ years of experience in Physical Therapy is necessary, with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
•    Demonstrated skills in clinical education abilities.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Desirable Qualifications:
•    3+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
•    3+ years of experience in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
•    Demonstrates leadership abilities.
•    Demonstrates experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.

Staff Physical Therapist

Required Qualifications:
•    A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy is required.
•    Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
•    Entry level experience in Physical Therapy.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Desirable Qualifications:
•    1-3 years of experience in Physical Therapy.
•    1-3 years of experience in one or more assigned areas of responsibility.
•    Demonstrates leadership abilities.
•    Demonstrates experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.

The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies will be hiring only one position for our inpatient unit. You must indicate in your cover letter the classification (Staff Physical Therapist and/or Senior Physical Therapist) you wish to be considered for.
