Instructional Serv Coordinator - World Languages, Literatures and Cultures
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree, preference given to education in a foreign language/ESL education, ASL, applied linguistics, educational technology, or related field. An equivalent combination of a Bachelor’s degree and related experience may also serve to meet this minimum requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience (minimum of 1 year) using or providing technological or pedagogical support for instructional technologies—applications, hardware, and software.
- Demonstrates extensive proficiency in the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Demonstrates working level proficiency with desktop tools, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Canva.
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in ASL or willingness to continue training beyond Intermediate level is highly desired.
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrates working knowledge of processes for managing inventory and databases (i.e., acquisitions, cataloging, reserves, member registration)
- Demonstrates working knowledge of and ability to provide instructional technology support for wide range of tools (software and hardware) used in instructional settings as well as alternative models of instruction: distance via videoconferencing, hybrid and online.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of and the ability to identify best practices for integrating multimedia technology into language learning/teaching and assessment.
- Master’s Degree in a foreign language, foreign language/ESL education, applied linguistics, ASL educational technology or related field.
