IRB Full Board Coordinator
The Human Subjects Office (HSO) at the University of Iowa is seeking an IRB Full Board Coordinator to provide administrative assistance and regulatory support for the human subjects protection programs and services administered by HSO. To coordinate the activities and interactions among the UI Institutional Review Boards (IRB), other University committees, and UI investigators. The position will coordinate procedures and programs to enhance investigator compliance with the IRB application process and may attend IRB meetings to document the discussion of regulatory determinations.

About Pay and Compensation:
Pay Grade: 3A
The hiring range for this position is anticipated to be $43,240-$53,000. Salary offers are based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, and budget considerations. In limited circumstances, compensation outside of the anticipated range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications.
Qualifications:
Education or Equivalency Required:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
· Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply federal regulations, institutional policies, and IRB requirements related to human subjects research.
· Demonstrates working level of proficiency identifying problems and obtaining resolution alternatives.
· Demonstrates experience managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, is highly organized, works independently, and consistently maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
· Demonstrates high proficiency in facilitating collaborative communication, fostering effective professional relationships, working well with others and a focus on service excellence and adding value to customer interactions.
· Demonstrates working level of proficiency listening to feedback and adding value to customer interactions.
· Demonstrates the ability to prepare clear and professional written communications.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Working knowledge of higher education / academic / university, policies, and federal regulations, regarding the protection of human subjects in research.
· Prior experience with IRB submissions and informed consent documentation.
· Familiarity with preparing correspondence related to regulatory submissions or communications with federal agencies.
· Demonstrates technical experience with an electronic research application database or other data management system or electronic workflow system.
