Laundry Production Supervisor
The University of Iowa Laundry Services department is seeking a Laundry Production Supervisor. This position will organize and monitor employees during daily plant production and monitor customer service activities. Maintain “just in time” service activities in a lean manufacturing business environment responding to customer needs and expectations. This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.
Duties to Include:
• Supervise a team of 15-22 full-time production staff
• Direct, monitor, and assist with daily production operations
• Provide discipline, coaching, and development of employees and participate in the hiring and termination processes.
• Oversee and review onsite safety procedures with staff, monitor the safety of equipment, and safety of personnel (along with training).
• Reviews staffing levels and assist with assessment of departmental staffing.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm, additional time worked may be required outside of normal working hours, including but not limited to holidays, weekends, and afterhours.
Location: Laundry Services – Oakdale Campus, Coralville
Salary: $46,450 to commensurate
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience (typically 1 year) in production, operations, and/or administrative experience in related area such as manufacturing/retail store.
• Experience (typically 1 year) in managing a large team of employees.
• Experience conducting employee training
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel.
Desired Qualifications:
• Beyond 3 years’ experience in supervisory role.
• Experience in a laundry or large production factory
• Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
• Multilingual
