Position Qualifications:

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience

Experience Required:

Experience in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance business processes, typically 7-10 years for  Lead Developer in leadership roles including experience with programming tools and a comprehensive understanding of database technologies(e.g., Caché, SQL Server); experience in the management of team members (functional or administrative)
Experience acting as the primary contact for the support, configuration and development of at least one healthcare enterprise application or area of functionality
Experience working with end-users to define system requirements and understand business needs
Experience working with vendors to analyze system and integration requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff
Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment  

Desirable Qualifications:
Experience supporting a LIS in an outreach laboratory, ambulatory clinic, or hospital setting
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with any of the following workflows: clinical pathology, microbiology, anatomic pathology, outreach, blood banking
Epic certification related but not limited to the following:  EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, EpicCare Procedure Orders, Epic Beaker CP, Epic Beaker AP
Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects
Proven ability to write application test scripts
Experience troubleshooting HL7 interfaces
