Position Qualifications:
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience
Experience Required:
• Experience in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance business processes, typically 7-10 years for Lead Developer in leadership roles including experience with programming tools and a comprehensive understanding of database technologies(e.g., Caché, SQL Server); experience in the management of team members (functional or administrative)
• Experience acting as the primary contact for the support, configuration and development of at least one healthcare enterprise application or area of functionality
• Experience working with end-users to define system requirements and understand business needs
• Experience working with vendors to analyze system and integration requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff
• Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment
Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience supporting a LIS in an outreach laboratory, ambulatory clinic, or hospital setting
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with any of the following workflows: clinical pathology, microbiology, anatomic pathology, outreach, blood banking
• Epic certification related but not limited to the following: EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, EpicCare Procedure Orders, Epic Beaker CP, Epic Beaker AP
• Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects
• Proven ability to write application test scripts
• Experience troubleshooting HL7 interfaces
