Lead Application Developer - Grand Central
Education Required
Bachelor’s in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience.
Experience Requirements
Experience in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance business processes, typically 7-10 years for Lead Developers in leadership roles.
Experience acting as the primary contact for the support, configuration and development of at least one healthcare enterprise application or area of functionality.
Experience working with application owners and/or vendors to define system requirements, integration requirements and understand business needs.
Demonstrated ability with converting business requirements into functional/technical specifications for complex integrated systems build.
Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects.
Demonstrated ability communicating technical information effectively to technical and non-technical staff at the verbal, written and presentation levels.
Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated experience supporting any of the following system configuration/workflows in an ambulatory or hospital setting: Admission Discharge Transfer (ADT), Bed Planning, or Registration systems.
Epic certification related but not limited to the following: Grand Central (ADT) or Prelude.
Familiarity with health care revenue cycle practices.
Demonstrated experience in the management of team members (functional or administrative).
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management.
Proven ability to write application test scripts.
Experience working with HL7 interfaces.
