Education Required

 

Bachelor’s in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience.

Experience Requirements

 

  • Experience in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance business processes, typically 7-10 years for Lead Developers in leadership roles.

  • Experience acting as the primary contact for the support, configuration and development of at least one healthcare enterprise application or area of functionality.

  • Experience working with application owners and/or vendors to define system requirements, integration requirements and understand business needs.

  • Demonstrated ability with converting business requirements into functional/technical specifications for complex integrated systems build.

  • Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects.

  • Demonstrated ability communicating technical information effectively to technical and non-technical staff at the verbal, written and presentation levels.

  • Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.

 

Desirable Qualifications

 

  • Demonstrated experience supporting any of the following system configuration/workflows in an ambulatory or hospital setting: Admission Discharge Transfer (ADT), Bed Planning, or Registration systems.

  • Epic certification related but not limited to the following: Grand Central (ADT) or Prelude.

  • Familiarity with health care revenue cycle practices.

  • Demonstrated experience in the management of team members (functional or administrative).

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management.

  • Proven ability to write application test scripts.

  • Experience working with HL7 interfaces.
