Librarian

Typically has entry level experience as a librarian.

Demonstrated interest in professional development that will enhance the candidate’s value to the library.

Knowledge of processes, tools, and services for selection, acquisition, organization, dissemination, instruction and promotion and/or preservation of information resources and services.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

1-2 years of professional library experience is highly desirable.

Experience working in library public service or equivalent, utilizing technology to provide access to information for the widest possible audience is highly desirable.

Experience providing community outreach and programming is highly desirable.

Experience in a medical or consumer health specialization library is highly desirable.

Experience in library management.

Experience creating a user oriented and interactive library environment.

Familiarity with assistive technology application software, computer peripherals, mobile devices, switches, and augmentative communication devices.

Experience with UI policies and procedures.
