Licensed Practical Nurse - UI Health Care Bettendorf Family Medicine Clinic 60-80%
The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient centered 60-80% (24-32 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our Bettendorf Family Medicine Clinic. This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics, Dermatology, Endocrinology, and Specialty/Outreach Clinics.

Duties to include:
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

Percent of Time: 60-80% (24-32 hours per week)
Schedule: Variable hours accomplished between Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM; no weekends, no on-call, and no holidays.
Location: Bettendorf, IA (and surround clinics/locations based on clinic needs)
Pay Grade: 11

Salary: $43,680.96 - $65,082.96 at 100% time (based on years of experience)
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support provider
Special Qualification:
- Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards
- Availability to provide support to other clinical locations based on clinical need/hours
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience.
- Previous Epic experience.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous laboratory experience.
- Experience with patients of all ages.
- Previous phlebotomy experience.
- The ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments and patient populations is highly desired.
- Demonstrated experience fostering a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment.
- Staff may be required to receive a passing score on work samples to be considered for this position.
