- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience proving a comparable level of expertise.
- 5+ years of current professional marketing experience.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media channels, strategies, and their audiences to develop targeted messages and build engagement.
- Strong and effective oral and written communication with content providers, designer and developers, non-technical stakeholders, and end users.
- Demonstrated ability to interact positively with a diverse population.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Experience writing and editing web and marketing content as well as an understanding of web, digital, and social media metrics to inform editorial and brand development.
- Experience with Google Analytics and related tools.
- Demonstrated skills creating and implementing professional marketing and communication plans.
- Project management experience with demonstrated successful results particularly in the areas of managing timelines and working with multiple constituencies.
- Familiarity with Digital strategy best practices.
- Strong understanding of web design within a CMS.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- A Master's degree.
- Strong understanding of higher education web and digital marketing strategy including audiences, trends, goals, tools, and techniques.
- Experience with Drupal.
- Experience building responsive and adaptive websites and web experience.
- Experience with various digital marketing technologies and techniques (email, CRM, semantic enrichment, search optimization, , landing page design, etc.).
- Copywriting and copyediting experience.
- Proficiency with writing standards-based HTML and CSS markup.
- Experience conducting interviews and focus groups and translating these into website goals.
- Proficiency in basic HTML.
