Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience proving a comparable level of expertise. 
  • 5+ years of current professional marketing experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media channels, strategies, and their audiences to develop targeted messages and build engagement.
  • Strong and effective oral and written communication with content providers, designer and developers, non-technical stakeholders, and end users.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact positively with a diverse population.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Experience writing and editing web and marketing content as well as an understanding of web, digital, and social media metrics to inform editorial and brand development.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and related tools. 
  • Demonstrated skills creating and implementing professional marketing and communication plans.
  • Project management experience with demonstrated successful results particularly in the areas of managing timelines and working with multiple constituencies.
  • Familiarity with Digital strategy best practices.
  • Strong understanding of web design within a CMS.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

Desirable Qualifications
  • A Master's degree.
  • Strong understanding of higher education web and digital marketing strategy including audiences, trends, goals, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience with Drupal.
  • Experience building responsive and adaptive websites and web experience.
  • Experience with various digital marketing technologies and techniques (email, CRM, semantic enrichment, search optimization, , landing page design, etc.).
  • Copywriting and copyediting experience.
  • Proficiency with writing standards-based HTML and CSS markup.
  • Experience conducting interviews and focus groups and translating these into website goals.
  • Proficiency in basic HTML.
