Required 

  • BA/BS in journalism, communications, mass media production of electronic media or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year of professional experience in multimedia production related to the position.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and guide multiple complex projects in a collaborative, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Superb collaborative, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Drive to continually learn and improve by examining other multimedia works internally and externally.
  • Ability to work occasional weekend, early morning and night productions.

Desired

  • Demonstrated experience (at least 2 years) in multimedia production in a related position.
  • Demonstrate expertise in:
    • Using capture devices such as Mirrorless, DSLR, Cinema Cameras, GoPro Cameras
    • Editing using Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Photography editing software like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Photo Mechanic
    • Developing graphic animations in After Effects or similar 3D software in collaboration with the design team.
    • Wireless microphones; and digital audio recorders
    • Operating gimbal stabilization systems such as the MoVI or DJI Ronin
    • Using MS/WINDOWS and Macintosh OS systems, and the utilization of engineering systems for special event broadcast/webcast
    • The maintenance and repair of electronic equipment, and knowledgeable of current trends in specific areas of expertise
  • Ability to lead the staging and composition of an in-field set up of cameras, microphones, and lighting to support a variety of scenarios.
  • Knowledgeable of industry trends/developments and ability to adopt practices and recommend purchases for internal use
  • Demonstrate a history of taking a leading role on the pre-production process of visual projects, including planning shot lists, timelines, and on-set directions for actors/support roles.
  • Advanced degree in journalism, related field or equivalent level of work experience.
  • Experience in health care videography for storytelling or marketing purposes is a plus.

Position is advertised at the Multimedia Specialist and Multimedia Developer levels.  One position will be filled between the two postings.
