Newborn Screen Case Manager
Position Qualifications:
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, public health or a related health field or a combination of education and related experience.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of one year of related experience providing clinical care or educational outreach as part of a health-related program
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including relaying complicated medical information in a clear, concise and definitive manner to health care professionals.
- Ability to travel to same day and/or to multiple day meetings
- Previous experience and ability to work in a fast paced and time critical environment
- Previous experience and ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Demonstrated critical thinking and assessment skills
- Demonstrated high attention to detail including strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel), computer applications and databases
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse or certification as a Genetic Counselor
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in providing patient or health related education with emphasis on knowledge of adult learning theory to small and large groups of people
- Demonstrated project management skills; including developing, planning and implementing initiatives
- Demonstrated experience with quality improvement projects and/or management
- Master’s in Public Health
