Position Qualifications:

 

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, public health or a related health field or a combination of education and related experience.

 

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of related experience providing clinical care or educational outreach as part of a health-related program
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including relaying complicated medical information in a clear, concise and definitive manner to health care professionals.
  • Ability to travel to same day and/or to multiple day meetings
  • Previous experience and ability to work in a fast paced and time critical environment
  • Previous experience and ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and assessment skills
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail including strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel), computer applications and databases

 

Highly Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse or certification as a Genetic Counselor
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience in providing patient or health related education with emphasis on knowledge of adult learning theory to small and large groups of people
  • Demonstrated project management skills; including developing, planning and implementing initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience with quality improvement projects and/or management
  • Master’s in Public Health
