Newborn Screening Short Term Follow Up Nurse
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse
· Advanced Genetics Nursing Certification AGN-BC or equivalent
Requirements Qualifications:
· Minimum of one year of related experience providing clinical care or educational outreach as part of a health-related program
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, including relaying complicated medical information in a clear, concise and definitive manner to health care professionals
· Ability to travel to same day and/or to multiple day meetings
· Previous experience and ability to work in a fast-paced and time-critical environment
· Previous experience and ability to work independently as well as within a team
· Demonstrated critical thinking and assessment skills
· Demonstrated high attention to detail including strong organizational skills.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
· Experience in providing patient or health related education with emphasis on knowledge of adult learning theory to small and large groups of people
· Demonstrated experience with quality improvement projects and/or management
· Master’s in Public Health
· Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards

Remote within Iowa: This position is eligible for remote work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment.
