Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Education
- A Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology approved by the Council of Education of the American Medical Association or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
Certification Requirements
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Iowa Public Health Department as documented by an Iowa Permit to Practice (IPP) is required.
Experience Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Three months or more experience using the “Epic” electronic medical record.
- Three months or more experience using SPECT/CT imaging systems.
- Three months or more experience working in a Nuclear Pharmacy “clean room”.
- Three months or more experience working with Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT), including dosimetric imaging and blood sampling.
