Requirements: 

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required. 
  • Reasonable (3-5 years) recent oncology nursing experience required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and various databases.
  • Current Iowa Nursing License.
  • Experience managing complex information requiring attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with electronic medical records.
  • Demonstrated experience providing education to patients.
  • Previous 1-2 years of supervisory experience. 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Clinical Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN, BMTCN)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA), or Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP) is encouraged.
  • Experience in developing SOP’s.
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting audits to ensure compliance to relevant regulatory policies or documents.
