Required Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing 
  • Minimum 2 years working with Electrophysiology patient populations
  • 2 years of Pediatric ICU or Cath Lab (Adult or Pediatric) RN experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment while functioning in a multi-disciplinary team  
  • Demonstrated experience in patient education required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience working with an interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills are required
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft excel, Word and PowerPoint is required 

Certifications:
  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required by start date
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS ) required within 6 months

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in nursing 
  • Involvement in a professional organization
  • Experience with pediatric cardiology population
  • Previous EPIC experience
  • Experience with device implantation, interrogation, programming, and troubleshooting
