Education or Equivalency Required
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field. If Master’s Degree is in related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required. 

  • Must obtain an advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in related field (ex: nursing, health care administration or business administration) within five years of beginning position  

  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license by date of hire is required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Considerable (3-5 years) experience in leadership/management roles to include prior experience working with regulatory bodies and survey readiness/negotiations is required.

  • Proficient in computer software applications

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and interdisciplinary team leadership skills.

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Demonstrates skills for leading change and implementation of evidence based practice.

  • Demonstrated skill in leadership/management and experience in dialysis clinical practice is required.

  • Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a large academic medical center
  • Experience working in academia is highly desired.

  • Membership/involvement in professional organizations.

  • Professional certification in relevant nursing or clinical area.  If no professional certification, expectation is that it will be achieved when employee is eligible to site for the exam.
