Nursing Manager - Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center Infusion Suite - Iowa City and Quad Cities
Education or Equivalency Required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field. If Master’s Degree is in related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required.
- If candidate does not currently have a master’s degree, must obtain an advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in related field (ex: nursing, health care administration or business administration) within five years of beginning position.
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license by date of hire is required.
Required Qualifications:
- Considerable (3-5 years) experience in leadership/management roles to include prior experience working with regulatory bodies and survey readiness/negotiations is required.
- Proficient in computer software applications.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and interdisciplinary team leadership skills.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrates skills for leading change and implementation of evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment is required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated skill in leadership/management and experience in oncology clinical practice is highly desired.
- Experience working in an academic medical center is highly desired.
- Membership/involvement in professional organizations.
- Professional certification in relevant nursing or clinical area. If no professional certification, expectation is that it will be achieved when employee is eligible to sit for the exam.
